Getting started
How do I install GameSense on my Apple Watch?
The watch app comes with the iPhone app. If it doesn't appear on your watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll down to Available Apps, and tap Install next to GameSense.
How do I track a match?
Open GameSense on your Apple Watch and start a match with one tap. During the match you can pause for half-time, keep the score, and track swaps and positions. When you end the match, it's saved to Apple Health and appears in GameSense on your iPhone.
Why does GameSense need access to Apple Health?
GameSense reads your heart rate and workouts to show your matches and calculate their intensity, and saves the matches you record as workouts. It doesn't use your health data for anything else. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Matches
A match is missing from my history
- Check that GameSense can read your health data: open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Privacy → Apps → GameSense, and turn on all categories.
- GameSense shows workouts recorded as Soccer. If you used Apple's Workout app or another app, make sure the workout type was Soccer.
- Open GameSense on your iPhone after the match, with your Apple Watch nearby, so the match can sync.
What is Session Intensity?
A score from 1 to 100 based on how hard your heart worked and for how long, adjusted for how quickly you recovered. Higher means a harder match. It's most useful for comparing your own matches over time.
Can I change a match after it's finished?
Yes. On your iPhone, open the match to edit its final score and name. This works for matches imported from Apple Health too.
Subscription
How do I restore my subscription?
If you subscribed before, for example on another device or before reinstalling the app, tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
In GameSense, go to Settings → Manage Subscription. You can also open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → GameSense. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription.
How does the free trial work?
If a free trial is offered, its length and the price afterwards are shown before you subscribe. Your subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Each Apple ID can use the trial once.
How do I get a refund?
Payments are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Your matches are stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and your health data stays in Apple Health. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. Workouts it saved to Apple Health can be deleted in the Health app. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for more.
